With up to 6 workshops per day, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, you’ll have plenty to choose from!
Most of our workshops are covered, allowing you to enjoy this enriching experience even in rainy weather.

Les Forges de Pyrène can be reached directly with the Agglo Bus, via line 4.
ACCESSIBILITY:
Les Forges de Pyrène are accessible to people with reduced mobility.
In 2025, extensive accessibility work made it possible to provide access to the following workshops and activities: the village forges, storytelling sessions, basket weaving, the school, the baker, the museum, and the “ages of life” exhibition.
However, due to their classification as historical monuments, the trip-hammer forge and the Iron Museum cannot be made fully accessible. A compensatory solution, in the form of an interactive terminal installed inside the museum, nevertheless allows visitors to explore their contents.

Individual shaded kennels are available free of charge for your faithful companions.Guide dogs and assistance dogs are accepted (and welcome) throughout the site.
The same applies to guide dogs in training.

PICNIC AREA AND PLAYGROUND
Enjoy our picnic area to have lunch and relax in the shade of the trees. Children will enjoy the playground which is entirely dedicated to them.
RESTAURANT – Ô BISTROT PYRÈNE
Traditional cuisine made with fresh, local and seasonal products. Entirely home-made!
The restaurant is equipped with two outdoor terraces and one decorated room.
TRANSPORT EN COMMUN
Transport – Agglo Bus
Across the Foix-Varilhes area, a shuttle network called Agglo Bus is available.
The bus lines cover a large part of the territory, allowing you to travel without using your car.
Les Forges de Pyrène are directly accessible via Agglo Bus – line 4.
