Art and Craft Days

On April 18 and 19, 2026,

Les Forges de Pyrène invites Forges de Pyrène to enjoy an exceptional weekend dedicated to the excellence of the arts and crafts. These days offer the opportunity to experience a world where tradition and modernity meet.

More than 30 artisans and artists, an extraordinary diversity of skills and many new talents to discover, the 2026 edition of the craft days at Forges de Pyrène Montgailhard.

A journey between tradition and modernity,
Explore the encounter between 19th-century craftsmanship and contemporary creativity.

Activities and workshops not to be missed,

Live demonstrations: sculpture, ceramics, basketry, blacksmithing, cabinetmaking, and much more.

Museum of Trades: immerse yourself in the history of the artisans of yesteryear.

Interactive workshops: discover and try out traditional techniques.

Anthony Ripoll, founder of Hearth Forge Création, is a passionate artisan blacksmith who transforms metal into works of art. In his workshop, he forges unique objects ranging from cutlery to decorative items, combining tradition and innovation. Thanks to his meticulous craftsmanship, Anthony creates sturdy and aesthetic pieces, combining ancestral craftsmanship with a modern vision. SANCHEZ Gabriel – Tarditi Workshop 

As a certified artisan knife maker, Gabriel SANCHEZ showcases his expertise and passion by creating unique knives.

In his workshop at the foot of the Pyrenees, he designs folding knives, table knives, and kitchen knives.

BG FORGES – Guillaume BEAUDIC,

This enthusiast of forging, iron, and hot metalworking founded his company, BG Forge, in Pamiers in 2014. He specializes in designing artistic ironwork in Pamiers, from traditional to contemporary forging, combining the old with the new. He is currently recognized as an Artisan des Métiers d'Art (Master Craftsman).

Onillon Workshop – Metalwork and Ironwork

After earning his CAP (vocational training certificate) in metalwork in 2016, Thomas Onillon quickly distinguished himself through his high standards and dedication to a job well done. He began his career as an employee, where he honed his skills over four years, developing solid experience in metalworking and artisanal ironwork.

In 2020, driven by a desire for independence and creativity, he founded his own company. Since then, he has been applying his expertise to bespoke projects, combining technical skill, precision, and aesthetic sensibility, with the aim of promoting a demanding and timeless craft.

Matthieu Boulon is a passionate craftsman and head of Taillanderie des Quatre Vallées. FAURE Marieke – Laliboc

Before devoting herself to design, she worked for several years as a field archaeologist and cultural mediator at prehistoric sites. By reproducing the techniques of our ancestors, she discovered the art of working with antler, used since the Paleolithic era for jewelry and sculptures, and began creating her own jewelry.

Inspired by her travels and encounters, her jewelry becomes souvenirs to wear every day. She breathes new life into naturally shed deer antlers, transforming them into unique pieces steeped in history and symbolism.

As an ornamental sculptor (CAP Lycée Ameublement Revel) and apprentice to the clog maker (transmission saboterie de Bethmale, Pascal Jusot), I extend my skills to woodworking in cabinetmaking, sculpture, and clog making.

The Elm Tree and the Forge – Jean D’eimar de Jabrun

Passionate about working with wood and fine materials, I am a craftsman specializing in the manufacture of wooden objects, sculpture, woodturning, as well as small cabinetmaking, forged cutlery, and foundry work.

My workshop, L’Orme et la Forge, is the result of several years of practice and research into these traditional techniques, where each piece is an encounter between the material and the craftsman. I create unique objects that combine aesthetics and functionality, making it a point of honor to respect ancestral know-how while adding a personal and contemporary touch.

Snow Sweets

The origin of Douceur des Neiges stems from the desire to have a name that reflects the products and their philosophy. This implies gentle, natural, fresh products made in Ariège, at the foot of the Pyrenees, hence the snow!

Furthermore, since no dyes are used, most of the products are snow-white.

MK Fusing – Custom Fused Glass by Marc Kniebihler

MK Fusing, led by glass artist Marc Kniebihler, offers custom-made fused glass creations that combine art and functionality. Based in Occitanie, Marc creates unique works ranging from illuminated mirrors and architectural panels to lighting fixtures and decorative objects, as well as more technical elements such as backsplashes and hood backs.

Each piece is crafted with special attention, using glass fusion techniques to create modern and elegant designs that blend harmoniously into a variety of environments. Marc also offers custom designs for specific projects.

"Thepractice of ceramics is so vast that the possibilities for expression are endless. For my part, I frame my artistic creation with: respect for the Earth and the use of the object.

My work and my collections aim to minimize soil pollution as much as possible. To make the brown glaze for my stoneware tableware, I only use raw materials that are abundant in the earth and extracted not too far away! For earthenware, I only use red and white clay. To save energy, I fire all my pieces in a single firing.
